The Splendid Moments of the Chennai - Bengaluru Dharmayatra
(6th October - 11th October, '09)

A divine surge was initiated by the onset of Pujyashri Gurudev into the metropolitan cities of Chennai and Bengaluru for a 6-day dharmayatra. Over 250 mumukshus of Southern India plunged into the gushing waves of bhakti and pravachan and were enthralled by the charisma of satsamagam and the world of pure devotion.

Chennai witnessed the Lord’s divine compassion in the form of two life-changing pratishthas; done by Pujyashri Gurudev Himself, in a spirited atmosphere of glory and intense bhaav. The zealous mumukshus of Chennai also performed beautiful cultural dedications for Pujyashri Gurudev as a means of expressing their dedication towards their own spiritual growth and their immense gratitude towards their divine guiding force – their Sadguru.

The mesmerizing and awe-inspiring pravachans held at Bengaluru almost shook all the aspirants out of lethargy and re-charged their batteries for a new leash of spiritual existence. Fundamentals of living life the Jain way, understanding the need and importance of spirituality in this human birth, keeping steadfast faith in the Sadguru, adopting healthy changes in mental attitudes and thereby accelerating spiritual growth were various key themes elucidated upon by Pujyashri Gurudev.

Mumukshus were greatly fortunate to spend personal time with Pujyashri Gurudev, through the two pratishthas, meetings and visits to homes of various devotees; and re-structure their priorities in life and progress towards permanent spiritual goals with Pujyashri Gurudev’s invaluable and immaculate guidance and compassion.

The last day of the dharmayatra was marked with a grand inauguration of the Shrimad Rajchandra Arhat Touch in Bengaluru by Pujyashri Gurudev amidst several eager-eyed children, their delighted parents and the overjoyed Bengaluru Arhat Touch sevaks. Connecting and elevating, cultural celebrations were performed by the children of Arhat Touch, youngsters of the Bengaluru Youth Group and other mumukshus, with a series of dance acts and skits, heartfelt expressions and touching songs.

How much or what can change the course of one’s life? Inevitably, four days with a Sadguru can transform one’s entire being and purpose of life. Truly, a divinely wonderful and enriching experience for all aspirants of Chennai and Bengaluru, this dharmayatra holds splendid moments that they shall cherish and remember forever.
