Pujyashri’s embracing guidance is transforming the approach of performing religious austerities and fasting practices into one that has the sole intent of connecting to the Divine with absolute surrender of selfhood. One such festive occasion is the Varshitap Parna celebrated at the Ashram on the very auspicious day of Akha trij. 15 tapasvis were blessed to have their parnas done by Pujyashri Gurudev Himself, immersed in an environment of bhakti and bliss. Pujyashri Gurudev did tilak, tied rakshapotli and did the parna of each tapasvi - where the sight of effortless compassion moved all devotees to elevating heights.

This was followed by the beautiful tradition set by Pujyashri Gurudev, known as the Leaders Changing Ceremony. This eagerly awaited annual event is when 18 blessed souls from the 9 Groups are showered with the opportunity to serve as their respective Group Leader for the coming year. The groups are categorized age-wise by Pujyashri Gurudev to facilitate spiritual and socio-spiritual activities. Two individuals from each group are selected each year to lead the group and act as an effective link between Pujyashri Gurudev and the members of the group.

The dress code sparkled white with all group members adorned with their distinct group badges. The event flowed ahead with the old leaders’ felicitation, speeches and awards to commemorate best Group spirit and best Group Leaders for the year 2009 – 2010. The Gharbharpit, Samarpit, Jivanarpit, Hridayarpit, Sarvarpit, Sharnarpit, Premarpit, Charnarpit and Atmarpit Groups enthusiastically cheered as the new Leaders were announced in an air of surprise and excitement. The new leaders expressed their exhilaration and gratitude through speeches, followed by the official exchange ceremony, interwoven with heart touching skits and devotional dances.

Truly, all celebrations begin and culminate in spiritual festivity as Pujyashri Gurudev is evolving human value systems and the essence of living, towards a goal-focused spiritual journey.
