                Each year, the festival of Holi is celebrated at the Ashram with great devotion and splendour. The year 2008 was no different. As an acknowledgement of selfless service (seva) offered by many volunteers (sevaks) at the lotus feet of the Divine, those offering seva, were invited to be a part of this festival. The highlights of the event were the satsang by P.P.Gurudev in which he expounded the meanings of a composition by Gangasati, ‘Ramiye to Rangma’, bhakti by Shri Vinod Agarwal and experience sharing by an atmarpit sevak.                  On the 31st December of every year, the Ashram comes alive throughout the night as bhakti is held from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Devotees enter the New year by filling their hearts with divine love. This set contains selected bhajans and dhuns (chants) from the New Year's Eve bhakti. This bhakti will help the devotee connect with the Divine.                 Twice every year, Mahotsavs are held at the Ashram on the auspicious occasions of Mahavir Jayanti and Diwali respectively. During these Mahotsav, bhakti is held every night and serves as a medium for the aspirants to experience attunement with the Divine. Well-known singers like Shri Deepakbhai Shah, Shri Vikaskumar Aambhore and Smt. Indira Naik were invited to conduct the bhakti for the Ashram Sthapnadin Tridivasiya Mahotsav in April 2005 on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti . Each bhakti has been recorded as a set of two VCD's. These VCD's are available for sale and will be instrumental in helping aspirants strengthen their connection with the Divine through devotion.

                  In order to facilitate spiritual practices on a collective level, P.P.Gurudev has formed groups of similar aged devotees. Various programs are organized throughout the year for these specific groups. One of the highlights for each group is the group shibir held every year. Programs held during the shibir include learning from the lives of various saints, sessions on self development, cultural programs organized by members of the group and unique and practical ways of bringing spirituality into daily life.

                These shibirs have proved to be so beneficial that there have been many requests to be able to review and relive the joyous moments spent in the shibirs over and over again. Not only the participants, but those unable to attend these shibirs have asked for video recordings of the sessions etc. Keeping in mind these requests, VCDs of the group shibirs from 2005 onwards are now available on sale.

                Throughout the year, the spiritual activities of this organization are manifest in many ways. A drama depicting the glorious history of Jainism is performed almost every year. This year, 'Nala - Damyanti' was performed in celebration of Shrimadji's birth anniversary. The inspiration to enact the life of this unique couple who maintained their calm even in the face of trial and calamity came from P.P.Gurudev. The script of the drama is based on His teachings.'One who is able to steer his life-boat on the path of Shri Jineshwar Bhagwan's teachings, inspite of life's ups and downs, inspite of the storms of misfortune, one who is able to practice calm acceptance of whatever happens; such a devotee of the Lord is bound to attain liberation.' This thought is bound to cross the mind of the audience while viewing the drama. The characters have been enacted by seekers and the scriptwriting etc. has also been carried out by seekers themselves.

                Shalibhadra, the son of a wealthy merchant who was even more prosperous than king Shrenik of Magadh, thinking he should have no worldly master ruling over him, decides to follow the path of renunciation. His sister Subhadra taunts her husband Dhannabhadra saying, ‘It's easier said than done'. At once Dhannabhadra is awakened and he renounces all his attachments that very moment. Vividly portraying the awe-inspiring renunciation of Dhannabhadra and Shalibhadra, the play is an attempt to depict the glory of these great men.

                Sthulibhadra, the son of a minister, was enamored by a courtesan- Rupkosha and spent his time enjoying a life of pleasure with her. On hearing about the untimely death of his father, he leaves everything and decides to follow the path of renunciation laid down by Lord Mahavir. Later with the blessings of his Guru, he spends four months of monsoon in her pleasure palace and performs the feat of overcoming the insurmountable desire for women. This play illustrates the glory of this great monk who has conquered carnal desires.
